I'm a from Bogotá, Colombia, so my native language is Spanish, I also speak English and French. I have a bachelor's degree in Languages (Spanish, English and French) from the Libre University of Bogotá. I have lived in the US and in France. I love learning about other cultures and helping others to achieve their language goals. I have always been passionate about languages and I'm very open-minded and patient with people. I have taught languages to children, teens and adults. I like to use a communicative approach to make the student have confidence while speaking. Speaking is reinforced thanks to grammar, reading and listening activitites from real life situations. I like to get feedback so students get to know if they are doing well and how well they're progressing in class. I'm very patient, I assign homeworks so students practise outside the class and if they have any doubts they can ask them the next lesson. Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
It depends on the person and the level he/she is at, but I usually start teaching useful expressions and some grammar as well, cause it is the basis to speak correctly a language. When students start getting more vocabulary and they are more confident, I make them read or listen to YouTube videos related to the topic we are talking about. I always try to use the target language during class and the communicative approach. I give feedback at the end of the lessons and I also ask for the class' feedback, to know how the student felt and to think what I can probably do for next class (if I have to change any activity or if I have to bring more activities to reinforce the topic).Meu material de ensino

I greatly enjoyed my lesson with Andrea. She sent me very helpful notes at the end of the lesson. Her attention to my proper grammar and verb conjugation was exactly what I was looking for. She friendly and understanding. I would recommend her to my friends.

Today we did a lot of practice with speaking and it really made me pull out words that I haven't used in a while. I had to mentally search for dormant phrases, but Andrea was there every step of the way to help me. I received corrections on some errors that I was making. Overall, I really enjoyed the lesson and the time flew by for me.
