In Madrid I taught English to students of all ages and all needs. I mainly taught adults in a business English setting which I very much enjoyed and had a very good relationship with all of my students. I actually taught a group of Public Prosecutors and one of them came to Glasgow to visit me after I left Madrid. I also taught in a state school in Madrid to children aged 7-16 in a classroom setting, again it was a very enjoyable experience and I was a very popular figure around the school. After leaving Madrid I taught DT in a school in London where 80% of the students first language was not English. My TEFL experience was very useful in creating differentiated work for those students.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
My first lesson will always be an oral level test and Needs Analysis where I will ascertain what aspects of the English language we need to start with and I will tailor a course specifically for you to make the most progress. Lessons will range depending on your needs but will include reading, writing and listening tasks; and obviously lots of speaking. I will only speak in the English language with you as my experience has shown me that immersion in the language is the best way to learn. For my more proficient learners my favoured method is to find interesting articles, which are set as homework reading, and write a set of questions to aid a discussion, then teach any grammar that comes up.Meu material de ensino

Jacob is an excellent teacher! We discussed a complex topic across two classes using material from two different articles, and we engaged in an interesting exploration of said topic. Always good to exercise talking about new and different subjects that you don't usually get to talk about!

I really liked the lesson with Jacob, normally we have pleasant and funny lessons. I started with him to practice my grammar and speaking because I had been some time without practice. I decided to improve my English because I wanted to apply to international companies and I need English for the interview processes. I am very happy with the result, I´ve passed the first interviews in different companies like Facebook, Spotify and now I am in the final rounds!! My plan is to continue taking lessons with Jacob, to try to improve more and get a new job.

Jacob is a really good teacher who has helped me to prepare myself for a difficult exam.He had got a lot of pacience with me, correcting my pronuntiation and helping me to improve in my expressions. He has gave me more conffident so I trully recomend him.
