I'm originally from the United States, but now call Italy my home for the last 24 years. I focus heavily on speaking and listening. I encourage students to speak freely and make mistakes. Making mistakes is how we learn. Too often, we want to form a perfect sentence in our native language and then try to translate it into English. Nine times out of ten, this is the biggest mistake.
