German teacher helping students learn the language and intigrate in German culture As a teacher, I strive to make the learning process enjoyable, efficient, and stress-free. My teaching approach is based on understanding each student’s unique needs and learning style. PhD in Applied Linguistics; +15 years of language teaching experience at university level I have been teaching German and Italian for over 15 years at a prestigious Canadian University as well as at a local language school. I have experience teaching all levels and age groups, both in-person and online.

Learning a language is hard work, but there's no rule that says you can't also enjoy it. :) I have worked as a teacher in high school for Dutch and in adult education for Dutch and German. Since secondary school, I have been tutoring students in Dutch, English and German. At the moment I also work as a tutor for criminal law, looking for a place to obtain a PhD. I can easily adapt to your (language) learning needs and style. I believe that you learn the most when you're enjoying what you're doing and having fun. My lessons are conversation based; I do not teach Dutch from scratch and I do not offer a structured A to Z course. I'd rather see myself as a coach on your language learning journey than as a teacher pur sang. After all, it's you who has to do the learning!

Learn German with Natural Conversations & Comprehensible Input I like to teach German through interesting conversations & dialogues. So, instead of going through grammar topics & speaking a lot of English, I will try to stick to mostly speaking German with you and I encourage you to speak and use as much German as possible as well. I might speak more slowly or explain words to you, but I will stick to German and only speak English if it's absolutely necessary. :) I am also by the way very happy to practice specific situations with you (buying a ticket at the train station, having a political discussion).
