Professional University Teacher with a PhD and 16+years teaching experience My teaching experience comprises 16 years: university tutor and a private language trainer one-on-one and in-group classes. I taught around 1000 students worldwide and helped them pass international exams, be more confident in speaking, get ready to write an essay or gain linguistic skills, and succeed in academic studies. I'm passionate about my profession, love it immensely, and devote myself to what I do helping my students master their language skills. I'm always in search of the most efficient methods, techniques, and ways to make it better for my students, so I'm sure the best way you can teach someone is when you don't give up learning yourself all the time.

14+ years experience in distance teaching and learning Since 2010, I constantly learn together with conversation partners in various languages. From this experience, I have gained ideas how language learning through conversation and via the internet is fun and efficient. My professional background is in education, but not in languages but in technical domains. This is is a little different than teaching in 1:1 settings, but I am still using several ideas from my other life also on italki. In 2001 I began to teach German as a Foreign Language at the German Cultural Center which is the official representative of the Goethe Institute in the City of Monterrey- Mexico. In 2012 I taught German at the University Regiomontana. It was very satisfactory to prepare students to obtain the Scholarships offered by the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) to study and to do their Internship in German companies

I'm dynamic and playful but I'm also dedicated to my students learning something that will provide them with the tools to make their lives better.

But the truth is, you will have to learn some grammar when learning German, there's no way around it. But I promise I'll make sure to make the grammar parts as fun and engaging as possible. Plus I provide all the teaching material and exercise sheets, so you won't have to worry about getting books or anything like that.

What we will do in our time together here on italki is: enjoying the learning process through maybe sometimes challenging exercises of having free conversation and writing together, maybe recording texts and listening to examples of native speakers. Of course we will model our time together according to your level, needs and expectations. So, I am very open to wishes and suggestions.
