Sensory Vocabulary (Part 1)

Referring to something fat, round, or bulging. Can be used to describe what you see/a sight. Example, there is a bulbous bush in your garden.

Referring to a deep and hoarse sound. Can be used to describe something you hear/a sound. Example, the croaking door needs to be repaired.

Referring to something or a place that is very hot and suffocating. Can be used to describe what you feel/touch. Example, the room was beautifully decorated but extremely stifling.

Referring to something that is burnt and blackened. Can be used to describe something you taste. Example, the restaurant was pleasant, however, my steak was charred.

Having a strong smell. Example, the pungent smell of garlic on someone's breath.
