What is this japanese verb construction "Verb + ga ii"? I think this is an imperative form. If I am right, Is it formal ou informal?

Like この道をいくがいい, for example? This construction often appears in literature etc. Typically it's used when an authority who knows everything, such as legendary commander, god/goddess, or elderly, gives instruction for the young or underlings. Maybe you can consider it as a kind of imperative. I don't say it's formal because it's inappropriate to use in business/official situation.

It means "I want". It can have an imperitive nuance though.
