Hi! My name is Chloe. I'm 20 years old and live in South Africa. I am currently in my second year of my law degree as I would like to become an attorney. In my free time I enjoy teaching and meeting new people through my teaching, reading and going to the gym. I love animals and have a pet cat named OJ and a dog named Bobby. An advantage of being South African is that from a young age I have been exposed to different races, religions and cultures and as a result I am fascinated by different cultures.. I am patient, understanding and hardworking. No task is too difficult for me and I always put my best effort into anything I do. Transparency from both myself and students in the classroom will be greatly beneficial in helping teach students. The comfort of a student in the classroom is very important to me. I am both a friend and a teacher therefore any problems a student might have, will be here to listen and help in any way.Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
My first step is to greet students and find out how they are doing. Thereafter ask if there is any topic they are struggling with and would like for me to explain or cover. If not, then I would begin with my pre planned lesson. My lessons are student centered and meet their requests whilst still catering to their needs. I use the TPR(total physical response) method and have a high of STT(student talking time) and a low of TTT(teacher talking time). A good student-teacher bond makes communication easier and the classroom dynamic better. It is also important to discuss whether a student prefers correction during, after or not at all. Anthea is a wonderful teacher. There’s always something to talk to her about. She’s very open, kind, pleasant and supportive. You don’t have to be afraid to speak English with her. She will help you with all the difficulties, and will also tell you a lot of interesting things. It is very important to her exactly what interests you. She can find an approach to everyone.
