Abdul

Today, we have done something different. We conjugated verbs with different tenses. Tense proves to be the very challenging part of the language and made some sentences:زه اوس د استاز وضاحت اورم- زه به سبا ته سندره اورم- هغه به سبا ته یوه نوې سندره واورې- زما پلار ماته حکم راکوي چې واوره- پرون هغه زما څخه ترلاسه شوي سندره واورېدله- ویده کېدلونه مخکې ما یو کیسه اورېدلي ده This may sound a bit easy; but actually it is not because Pashto has a unique system making conjugation a very challenging task. The teacher is very resourceful and has prepared a table which shows the conjugation of main verbs. Tough but rewarding lesson.

Another challenging but fun lesson with Abdul's daughter Shifa. Shifa pushes me to try, and although I can find some things difficult Shifa is very patient. We use a mixture of pictures, light conversation and having fun to help me learn. I know I still have a lot to learn but also that I have learnt so much compared to when I started. Thanks!

This is my 3rd lesson with shifa, really enjoying it as she explains everything in detail and makes it very easy :)

Shifa is super reliable, always professional, and her lessons always fit my needs and interests. I like that she corrects me, and she gives me better ways of expressing myself in Pashto. When I started with her, I didn't know a single word in Pashto, and now I feel comfortable speaking. She has always been very patient. Wonderful teacher! For sure take lessons with her!

Shifa always offers me new vocabulary and ways of phrasing things. I like how she offers corrections and models correct sentence structure. She also going with the flow, happy to discuss anything that's on my mind. Keeping things fun has really helped me learn Pashto.

Just done my first lesson. Shifah was very informative and went through future lessons in great detail. Look forward to learning! :)
