Hello everyone! Hola a todos! :) I'm Moni and I have been teaching Spanish here on Italki since 2016.
I come from Madrid but now I live in Alicante after living for more than a decade in London and then Canary Islands for more than 2 years.
I love languages! I'm currently trying to learn Valencian language.
I also love music, dancing, sports, literature, politics, series. animals and specifically cats and chickens.
On top of that I created a game with my partner for you to practice your Spanish and it is called "Spanish Quest" and I offer "immersion" courses at home.

As a teacher, I believe it's incredibly important to be attuned to my student's needs and goals. I want you to learn and succeed. And at the same time, to feel relaxed where we learn from mistakes and it is fine to make them.

What can you expect from my lessons?
Use the language, explanations in English language if need it, fun, role play games, lessons orientated and focused in your needs (improve the four skills, pronunciation, DELE exam preparation with materials included, etc.).
I have lots of hobbies and interests so we might have nice chit-chats to practice conversation and use your knowledge. On the other hand, I learnt from my students the most and I will apply my experience. We are a team in the process of learning my language and I will do my best in the lessons with you to achieve your goals..My teaching material

Preparador examen SIELE - Instituto Cervantes, la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, la Universidad de Salamanca y la Universidad de Buenos Aires: - 2017SIELE is the Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española which certifies electronically the command of the Spanish language proficiency for students and professionals; it is similar to DELE but the student makes the exam electronically.
I had to pass several tests after studying all the modules to improve my teaching skills when my students want to prepare this test.

Monica is so patient! I am still having some early intermediate troubles as I make my way up to B2, and even though I keep making the same types of mistakes, she is kind and corrects me gently, and is very encouraging. I appreciate her calm smile as she waits for me to work my way through verb tenses and conjugations! She is very supportive and I'm so glad I found her!
