From Fukuoka, lived in Singapore for 7.5 years and now moved to Germany. Love playing volleyball and cooking (and eating, of course!).
Born and raised in Japan, spent most of the years in Kyushu island & Okinawa (aka the best part of Japan ;)).
Went to an international university in Oita prefecture where I obtained my bachelor.
Subsequently I finished my training course for teaching Japanese language and moved to Singapore.
Also recently, I have finished a training course by Association of Japanese Language for Children where I equipped myself to teach Japanese to younger age.
Me as a Teacher
Have experience of teaching at the biggest Japanese language school in Singapore for nearly 3 years. In charge of classes from beginners to advanced level both group lessons and 1-on-1, as well as JLPT preparation courses for N5 & N4. Managed classes with different nationalities with various mother tongue language speakers by using direct method (meaning teaching Japanese in Japanese, strict but super effective!). Also been teaching privately online and offline.My lessons & teaching style
I am more familiar with the Minna no Nihongo (みんなのにほんご) textbook, but I have Genki (げんき) as well and happy to accommodate with your preference.
The more you specific you are about your motivation and goal for learning Japanese, the better I am able to assist you and design the classes.

Shino is an amazing teacher. She grades her language brilliantly, her lessons are the perfect balance of fun and challenging. She's always happy and upbeat. Her English is amazing but she only uses it if she really really has to. I strongly recommend her!

I was very nervous after not speaking any Japanese for a while. I had a lesson the other day with another teacher and finished feeling very unconfident with my Japanese. But after today's lesson with Shino I feel so much better! She really makes you feel supported and gives clear explanations of grammar if you need them. A great balance of patience while you figure something out and knowing when to help.
Looking forward to my next lesson already. Thanks Shino!

Our lesson felt well prepared and suitable for my absolute beginner level, but allowed for us to get to know each other as well. We practiced conversational phrases and introductions, as well as some hiragana. Shino-sensei has a very clear and warm approach to teaching and made me feel very comfortable and motivated during our lesson. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn Japanese! ありがとうございます! :)

Shino Sensei never disappoints! Having a teacher like Shino is a blessing. Anyone hesitant about taking on Japanese should cast all doubts aside and grow with Shino Sensei.
