Hello and buenos días! I'm a musician and Spanish teacher currently living in Mexico. Before moving to Mexico, I studied in a music conservatory in the Argentine Republic, where I grew up, and taught piano at a music school. I am also passionate about dancing tango, I have been doing it for more ten years and it is one of the things I love most in life. I have experience teaching students of all ages. My pronouns are she/they🏳️⚧️.
Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I am very patient and supportive. I am also an ADHD person, and have experience teaching other neurodiverse people. My experience teaching Spanish (and also piano for many years) has taught me that every student is different, so I try to get to know you and to understand how I can best help you succeed. I want you to feel comfortable trying new things and even making mistakes as we learn together.My lessons & teaching style
I like to ask my students about their goals and learning style, since each person is different. Then I can tailor my teaching to the individual student's needs. We can cover grammar, comprehension, speaking, and writing. When students are ready, we will often use materials like articles, videos, podcasts, and music to practice. I do my best to ensure students speak in every class (even beginners!), because I believe that practicing conversation is the key to developing confidence with a language.
I belong to the LGBTQ+ community (NB person here)🏳️⚧️and therefore ensure that my classes are a safe space for members of the community, as well as for individuals who are neurodiverse.My teaching material
