Hi there! I'm Niamh. I'm a linguistics and Arabic student in London. I love languages and everything related to them. I love reading books in lots of different genres (a personal favourite is the Anne of Greene Gables series) and sometimes I even write fiction and poetry. Other interests I have are music (I play guitar and piano mainly) and baking. I also love watching movies. I love romantic comedies and dramas. I lived in Cairo, Egypt with my family for many years and still travel there regularly and love the culture, the people and especially the food there.Me as a Teacher
I have been doing community English teaching for a few years and have chatted with so many students from dozens of countries. I have experienced so many different ways of learning languages through my own personal studies of Arabic. I am happy to go at your pace and build lessons around how you learn best. Although I am not a professional teacher I have a good and growing understanding of English grammar and am always happy to work with you to investigate a question and find answers together. I also have an intermediate understanding of Arabic (specifically Egyptian, but I'm currently learning MSA) so can help you if you need a little bit of help in your native language.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is very laid back. We can learn through a conversation, telling stories, or reading articles and stories together. I offer a casual chit-chat lesson where we can catch up the same way friends do, I have also designed two courses, one with set conversation topics to expand vocabulary and one that involves reading and discussing an article. COMING SOON is a grammar course that takes a look at basic grammar topics.My teaching material
