Anna Me

It's been a year since I started Russian, and the first teacher I chose to try out Russian (because at the time I was unsure of how it would go) was Anna... Since then She's helped me through all the insane grammar, long words, and difficult sentences. She's the best teacher - if you have any hesitation to learn or start learning a difficult language like Russian, take the step! And maybe you will find an amazing teacher, but also a friend. Thanks Anna!

This was a really cool lesson with a lot of focused work on lexical and grammatical nuances. At the same time, the controlled exercises were punctuated with communicative, open-ended mini-discussions ("When's the last time you used the expression?" - best question ever, and I'm going to use it with my students). It came out feeling like a really nice balance between having a few moments to speak freely and taking a few moments to work through some difficult language and paying attention to accuracy and naturalness.

До урока я ощущала какую-то демотивацию по поводу изучения русского языка (на прошлой неделе я смотрела фильм по-русски в кино, но я лишь половину фильма поняла), но урок и разговор с Анной был как всегда очень приятным и она дала мне ощущение, что я на самом деле умею говорить более или менее свободно по-русски. Она терпетливая и не прерывает. Мне это очень важно. Спасибо, Аня, за терпение и урок! Сегодня мы продолжили обсуждать тему 'в ресторане' с помощю смешного отрыва из русского сериала и потом проработали (?) список положительных и отризательных прилагательных, чтобы описывать фильмы. (? - I know the last bit is wrong, but don't know how to make it better :) ) До скорово!)))
