Welcome to language acquisition with Alex! I will walk you through my teaching method so you understand what to expect from my lessons. I use the natural approach to help students who want to speak more fluently and understand English faster, with as little translating as possible. During this lesson, I will focus my teaching on the natural approach. We will engage in conversation through introduction as well as sharing stories. We will also learn new vocabulary through reading and listening to podcasts for homework. After you complete your podcast homework, we will discuss the podcasts, talk about new words and their meanings, and form new sentences using the new vocabulary. I also design speaking exercises around new vocabulary for more free speaking practice. Learning English doesn't have to be about memorizing word lists, it can be engaging and fun!
