If you're studying to pass your IELTS then you'll know that an important part of the test is speaking. This course is ideal for those of you who are at the beginning of your IELTS journey or for those of you who want some last minute practice before your upcoming test.

I will give you valuable tips, improve your fluency & coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and pronunciation. I'll do my very best to help you get to the point where you can pass the test with confidence while getting a good score in the process.

IELTS Speaking Test Preparation

This course is designed to help you improve your overall communication skills in English. In this course, you'll receive engaging, interactive, relevant and thought-provoking materials to help you build your active vocabulary, fluency and confidence. While the emphasis is on speaking, you will also develop your reading and listening skills. If you'd like to focus some time on writing, we can do that too.

Primarily, our classes will be all about giving you the opportunity to practice speaking on a wide variety of relevant and interesting topics. I will guide and prompt you when needed, always listen carefully, take notes, provide feedback and support to help you overcome any obstacles and build your confidence in English.

In addition to the live class sessions, I'll provide you with pre-class activities, post class review material, and I'll also be happy to answer any questions and give feedback, advice and tips outside of class hours.

Whether you're an intermediate or an advanced English learner, these lessons will help you develop the skills you need to communicate confidently and effectively in English.

Structured English Conversation Course (materials provided)

I hear it a lot..."I think my English reading, writing and listening are OK, but when I try to talk I can't think of the right words and I start making mistakes." This is most likely because you don't have a chance to speak English regularly. You spend most of your time studying, watching videos, reading books, listening to music and podcasts, but very little time actually speaking English. 

The solution: Spend at least 30 minutes, as little as 2 or 3 times a week (the more the better), chatting in English with a friendly and patient person. If that person is a native speaker with over 20 years of teaching experience, that definitely helps too ;)

In this class, you will have the opportunity to talk with me on anything and everything.  I'll encourage you to speak as much English as possible, while giving you useful feedback and corrections during our lessons, in a supportive and constructive way.

For this class I will not prepare or give you any materials, however, you are welcome to prepare and provide your own. It's therefore more of a show up and chat style class. If you want me to provide you with materials then please choose my structured English course.

Hi and welcome to my German conversation practice class. Let's have an informal chat in German to improve your spoken fluency, your pronunciation and hopefully your confidence too. I don't provide materials for this German class, it's more of a chance for you to use what you've learned outside and put it into practice with me.

These lessons are perfect for those of you who are looking to develop professionally and need English to communicate with your colleagues, customers, clients, etc. 

Whether you need help preparing for an interview, want to better understand and join in more during meetings or want to improve your presentation skills, I'll guide you and do my best to improve your confidence in speaking English in more formal and professional settings. 

Emphasis will be on English used in business, especially mastering terminology, idioms and the cultural differences and customs you need to know and understand for success.

I was an English teacher at this prominent Montessori school in Tainan. Teaching beginner English to kids aged 4-7. Including phonics, basic reading, writing, as well as singing, dancing, playing and speaking in English.
