For beginners, I use a communicative approach with a strong focus on the basics. I introduce new material in small, manageable portions, based on real communication needs. We’ll build your foundation carefully and confidently, step by step.

You can expect a clear step-by-step approach.

*    Structured means systematic📚, based on previous lessons.  So, if you are planning on taking less than 1 lesson a week, or you are more of a self- learner, perhaps you should choose Interactive Russian or Speaking Practice lessons. 

**  Because I believe the beginning stage is crucial, I meticulously work through the basics🤓. I will do this by providing a lot of practice and speaking drills until you are confident. At these lessons I don't teach intensively, but extensively🔍. 

  ***   We will definitely need video on 📹! I use Skype with video so that I can show objects, help with gestures, and correct pronunciation. Moreover, it helps in communicating🗣. For each lesson, I organize a google doc and write down all the words, so that the student can go back and review. 

 ****    Please, I suggest that you BOOK  30- OR 45-MIN SESSIONS FOR YOUR FIRST LESSON so that I can evaluate your level and we can decide on the best strategy for you.

Welcome! 

This is a task-based lesson, where I create a need to learn and use the language. We take the focus away from form and structures and develop your ability TO DO  things in Russian.
The main purpose of these lessons is to bring you out of your silent stagnation, give you confidence and fluency. Here you are going to apply what you have learned in a very natural way. These lessons are for self- learners, whom I greatly respect, who would like to activate their passive knowledge.  You must have at least B1 level.

           #  Let me know what you have been studying lately and I will organize smth interesting for you
           #  I will use videos, media, presentations and conversation practice as the main backbone of the lesson.
            # I will also arrange a great variety of interactive and task-based lessons where I try to make you speak spontaneously: 

       *  You will visit a Russian restaurant with me and order a meal.
       * You will check in a hotel. 
       * Let’s do some shopping together!
       * Make yourself at home in my kitchen. Let&#039;s cook together! I know some gooood         recipes 
       * Help me clean the house

Interactive Russian for Advanced Students🤹‍♂️ (B1- C1) (please, click here to read the description )

Need to talk more? I’ll guide you through conversations that match your level and interests, adjusting the pace and content as we go. These sessions are great for improving speaking skills, expanding vocabulary, and getting comfortable with real-life Russian.

I understand that some people prefer to learn through a relaxed (or dynamic) , friendly but focused conversation. Perhaps YOU STUDY THE LANGUAGE YOURSELF and want to practice your speaking.

Casual conversation is great, but the focused conversation is better. 

On lower levels, learners of Russian very often lack confidence because they haven't had enough opportunities to activate their knowledge. My task here is to provide multiple speaking drills to make you use the structure many times. 

On higher levels, I will try to adjust the pace and difficulty to your level and lead the conversation according to your needs and interests in a way that we repeat new words and structures as much as possible.

 I will gently correct you if you wish so (let me know about that). If needed we will stop for a few mins. for some grammar explanation. 
If we manage to stay on one topic for 2- 3-4  sessions, that’s the best.

BUT I’m gonna need your help here).
 First - stay focused, as sometimes the topic tends to shift away.
Second - don&#039;t consider the questions I ask genuinely sincere, since you need to understand it&#039;s  SPEAKING PRACTICE. It&#039;s like a physical exercise, aimed at a particular group of muscles🏋️‍♂️. For example, if I ask how much your house costs or how much money🏦 you&#039;ve got in your wallet right now, it&#039;s not because I am nosing around, but we are PRACTICING numbers.))

Thirdly, speaking can sometimes be messy, as you might have already figured out. We both need a lot of patience!!!

And finally,​ these are YOUR Speaking sessions, I expect YOU to speak a lot! Getting in the mood of speaking takes effort for some people, but it's worth it!
