Let's meet and discuss your language goals and how we can possibly work together to achieve them! We will have an introductory conversation to get to know each other, discuss your current language level, why you want to learn the language and what would be the best plan for moving forward to reach your goals! I take post-lesson notes and offer to share a Google Doc with those notes with my students!

If you would like to practice speaking to a Native English speaker to work on your conversational skills, this is the lesson for you! We can talk about anything you'd like! We can have introductions, discuss travel related scenarios, hobbies, family, experiences, business goals and more. I can also provide a list of conversation topics prior to our lesson. I will take notes and offer any corrections and tips on pronunciation and grammar, as well as provide new vocabulary as needed! I enjoy including materials, as well, if that is beneficial to any student. This is open to all ages.

Conversational Practice

If you're interested in reaching fluency in English and would like to begin an English course tailored to your specific interests and needs, this lesson is for you! This is slightly different than the conversational practice, as I would include more materials with this lesson option. We will continue to practice speaking, but will ensure we have all of the other language skills (reading, listening, writing, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary). You can decide what skills are the most important for you. I will continue to assess your skills throughout our lessons and share online notes and reviews of our lesson progress. We will always communicate and work together to ensure your lessons are beneficial and effective for you.

Personalized English Lesson

This course is for young learners between the age of 5 through 15. The student will have an introductory lesson for the student to get to know the teacher and the teacher to get to know the student and the student's level. A textbook with online pdfs and exercises will be utilized in lessons, with a strong focus on conversation and discussion for increased vocabulary and comfortability. Course is student-centered and flexible per learner and learner's needs.

Served as a substitute teacher as needed for various towns and cities for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade in high school. Provided educational support to students from ages 5 up to 18, including addressing behaviors as needed.

I serve as a behavioral health case manager serving adults experiencing poverty and homelessness who have mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders. I provide case management services in a community support program where I help them connect to community resources and become more independent in the community.

Freelance Tutor with virtual English learning platform Native Camp!

Teaching an Adult ESL class in Meriden, Connecticut from February 2022 until May 2022. Leading an ESL 1 class and an ESL 2 class focusing on the four essential language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Virtually taught a 5th grade class of students aged 9 and 10 in a classroom at Yu Ying Elementary School in Taiwan. Taught for two months for a total of 5 classes following a curriculum. Class topics ranged from holidays to feelings and increased vocabulary, pronunciation and reading practice!

Serve as the single English language educator for all primary level students. Teach ages 6-9 (grades 1-4) for 60min daily, 3rd and 4th grades for 2hrs once a week (Social Studies & English). Provide English classes with Cambridge curriculum to prepare final year students (4th graders) for A2 Flyers Cambridge Exam at the end of the school year. Support Principal/Head Teacher and other staff with field trip supervision and other needs.
