Not your typical English podcast

おはようございます。日本語だんだんポットキャストのゆかりです。

日本へ旅行(りょこう)したいです。

仕事をやめて、旅(たび)がしたいです。
旅と旅行、
同じような言葉(ことば)ですね。

辞書(じしょ)をみても、あまりちがいがわかりません。
私もなんとなく、つかいわけています。

旅、旅行、どんなイメージがあるかお話しします。

まずは旅。

たとえば、

"旅にでます。"

"日本中を旅しています。"

といいます。

旅と聞くと、1ヶ月や1年間など、
長い期間(きかん)のイメージがあります。

また、いろいろなところへ、
スケジュールを決めずに行く

そんなイメージがあります。

旅をしている人を

"旅人"(たびびと)といいますね。


では、旅行はどうでしょう。


たとえば、

"つぎのやすみは沖縄(おきなわ)へ旅行します。"

"海外旅行が趣味(しゅみ)です"

といいます。

２日間(ふつかかん)や1週間(いっしゅうかん)ぐらいが、旅行のイメージです。

観光地(かんこうち)へ行くイメージがあります。

旅と旅行、なんとなく、わかりましたか？

私は先月、アジア旅行をしましたよ。
