Pingping Chinese Elementary Lesson 5：What is your job?

平平 ： 你有兄弟姐妹吗？ 麦克 ：我有一个哥哥和一个妹妹。 平平 ： 真好！我也想有一个哥哥，可以保护我。 麦克 ：我哥哥小时候总是欺负我。 平平 ：额~~ 麦克 ： 小时候都是这样，现在觉得还是有哥哥好，他常常帮助我。 兄弟姐妹 xiōng dì jiě mèi brothers and sisters 保护 bǎo hù protect; 小时候 xiǎo shí hou in one’s childhood; when one was young 总是 zǒng shi always; 欺负 qī fu bully; 这样 zhè yàng so; such; like this; this way; in this way 觉得 jué de feel; be aware; think 还是 hái shi still; nevertheless; （表示希望） had better; （表示选择） or; just the same 常常 cháng cháng frequently; often; 帮助 bāng zhù help;

平平 ： 你有女朋友吗？
Andy ： 有，她就是我的女朋友。
平平 ： 啊！你女朋友长得真漂亮。
你们是怎么认识的？
Andy ： 我们是大学同学。
平平 : 她今年多大？
Andy ： 她今年25岁，跟我一样大。
píng ping ： nǐ yǒu  nǚ péng you ma？ 
Andy ： yǒu，tā  jiù shì  wǒ de  nǚ péng you。 
píng ping ： a！nǐ  nǚ péng you zhǎng  de zhēn  piào liang。 
nǐ men shì  zěn me  rèn shi de？ 
Andy ： wǒ men shì  dà xué  tóng xué。 
píng ping : tā  jīn nián  duō dà？ 
Andy ： tā  jīn nián 25 suì，gēn wǒ  yī yàng dà。

Lesson 2

平平 ： 你是哪国人？
píng ping ： nǐ shì nǎ guó rén？ 
Ping Ping: What is your nationality?
Andy ： 我是澳大利亚人。
Andy ： wǒ shì  ào dà lì yà rén。 
Andy:  I am from Australia.

平平 ： 我以为你是美国人呢！
píng ping ： wǒ yǐ wéi nǐ shì  měi guó rén ne！ 
Ping ping:   I thought you were from the United States! 

Andy ： 不是，我在美国住过很长时间，有一点儿美国口音。
Andy ： bú shì，wǒ  zài měi guó zhù guò  hěn cháng shí jiān，yǒu  yī diǎn ér  měi guó  kǒu yīn。 
Andy: No, I have just lived in the United States for a long time, so I have a little American accent.



平平 : 你朋友也是澳大利亚人吗？
píng ping : nǐ  péng yǒu yě shì  ào dà lì yà rén ma？ 
Ping ping: Your friend is from Australia too?

Andy： 不是，他是英国人。
Andy ： bú shì，tā shì  yīng guó rén。 
Andy:  No, he is British.

平平： 欢迎来到中国，很高兴认识你们！
píng ping ： huān yíng  lái dào  zhōng guó，hěn  gāo xìng  rèn shí  nǐ men！
Ping ping: Welcome to China, it is a pleasure to meet you both!


Pingping Chinese Elementary Lesson 2 Where are you from

Lesson 1

Andy ： 你好！
Andy ： nǐ hǎo！
Andy: Hello!

平平 ： 你好！
píng ping ： nǐ hǎo！
Ping ping: Hello!

Andy ： 我叫Andy，你叫什么名字？
Andy ： wǒ jiào Andy，nǐ jiào  shén me  míng zi？
Andy: My name is Andy. What is your name?

平平 : 我叫郭平，你可以叫我平平。
píng ping : wǒ jiào guō píng，nǐ  kě yǐ jiào wǒ  píng ping。
Ping ping: My name is Guo Ping, but you can call me Ping ping.



Andy ： 平平, 很高兴认识你！
Andy ： píng ping, hěn  gāo xìng  rèn shí nǐ！
Andy: Ping ping, nice to meet you!

平平 ： 我也很高兴认识你！
píng ping ： wǒ yě hěn  gāo xìng  rèn shi nǐ！
Ping ping: Nice to meet you too!
