Itulah "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," yang menjadi semboyan bangsa Indonesia yang tertulis pada lambang negara. Mari kita mengenal tradisi dari perayaan tahun baru imlek. MERDEKA! 

Indonesia is rich in diversity. About 5% of the population in Indonesia is of Chinese descent, and the tradition of celebrating the Chinese New Year becomes one of the festive occasions that enlivens many regions in the archipelago. This indicates that Indonesia is a democratic country that values and embraces diversity. Despite the diversity in various backgrounds, Indonesia remains united. During my HOMESTAY in America, the family I stayed with had a PROPOSED RULE to never PILE UP dirty laundry in the CORRIDOR before BRUNCH.

My daughter’s friend from Japan is on HOMESTAY with us and they both ate a PILE of pancakes each for BRUNCH while walking through the CORRIDOR back to my daughter’s room.

みなさん、こんばんは！Atsushiです。
今日の天気は曇りと雨です。
気温は21℃です。

日本には今、台風が来ています。
しかも大型でゆっくりな台風なので、広い地域で大きな影響がありそうです。

先週末から沖縄付近をゆっくりと通り、今日9/5は九州、明日9/6は岡山付近を通るようです。北海道も明日夜から暴風になるようで、警戒が必要です。

個人的には、明日9/6の夜に飛行機で大阪に行く予定なので、台風の情報と、飛行機の運行状況が気になっています。

日本では、夏から秋にかけて台風がよく通ります。
6月は梅雨、雨が続きますし、この時期は台風があるので、天気が気になる季節ですね。
1月から3月にかけては、地域によって雪が降るので、この時期も天気が気になります。

私にとっては、今年は北海道へ引っ越してきてからはじめての冬を迎えるので、いろんなことが気になっています。ですが、その分、スキーをしたり、北海道の冬を楽しむ予定です。
