The early Jin dynasty refers to the period beginning with Sima Yan's establishment of the Western Jin in 266, followed by the conquest of Eastern Wu in 280, thereby unifying the Three Kingdoms. Poisson Rouge en a assez de tourner en rond dans son bocal.
- Peux-tu m'aider à sortir ? demande-t-il à Hoquet le perroquet.
- Où veux-tu aller ? Tu ne sais pas marcher, pas voler, tu vas mourir si je te sors de l’eau.
- Je veux nager dans la baignoire, s’il te plaît, aide-moi !
Hoquet attrape Poisson Rouge par une nageoire et le dépose dans la baignoire. Quelle joie ! Il rencontre un étrange poisson.
- Bonjour, dit-il, comment allez-vous ?
- C'est une éponge, dit le perroquet en riant, elle sert à laver les enfants.
- Vite, replace-moi dans mon bocal, on pourrait me prendre pour une éponge, dit Poisson Rouge. Demain, je voudrais nager dans la mer, tu pourras m’y emmener ?
- Non, dit Hoquet, tu es mon seul ami, tu pourrais être mangé par un requin et j’aurais trop de chagrin.

小和尚下了山，
kàn jiàn dì lǐ de yù mǐ yòu dà yòu duō，hěn ɡāo xìnɡ。 
看见地里的玉米又大又多，很高兴。
tā zhāi le yí ɡè，zhǔn bèi ná huí sì miào qù。 
他摘了一个，准备拿回寺庙去。
zǒu zhe zǒu zhe，tā kàn jiàn shù shànɡ de táo zi yòu hónɡ yòu dà， 
走着走着，他看见树上的桃子又红又大，
jiù rēnɡ le shǒu lǐ de yù mǐ，zhāi le yí ɡè dà táo zi。 
就扔了手里的玉米，摘了一个大桃子。
tā ɡānɡ yào zǒu，hū rán kàn jiàn dì shànɡ de xī ɡuā yòu dà yòu yuán，  
他刚要走，忽然看见地上的西瓜又大又圆，
ɡāo xìnɡ jí le。
高兴极了。
tā mǎ shànɡ rēnɡ le táo zi，qù zhāi xī ɡuā。 
他马上扔了桃子，去摘西瓜。
xiǎo hé shanɡ bào zhe xī ɡuā huí sì miào，
小和尚抱着西瓜回寺庙去，
qù lù shànɡ kàn jiàn le yì zhī xiǎo tù zi。
路上看见了一只小兔子。
tā rēnɡ le xī ɡuā，qù zhuī xiǎo tù zi。   
他扔了西瓜，去追小兔子。
xiǎo tù zi pǎo jìn shù lín lǐ，xiǎo hé shanɡ méi zhuī shànɡ，
小兔子跑进树林里，小和尚没追上，
zhǐ hǎo kōnɡ zhe shǒu huí sì miào qù le。
只好空着手回寺庙去了。
