Tire-Bouchon, le petit cochon rose est terriblement gourmand mais vraiment pas doué pour la cuisine. Heureusement, ce sont ses parents qui s’en occupent.
Aujourd'hui, cependant, il a décidé de confectionner un gâteau. Il suit la recette avec application et enfourne le gâteau dans la cuisinière.
C’est une réussite totale et Tire-Bouchon est très fier.
Hélas, la cuisine est dans un état lamentable : du chocolat sur les murs, de la pâte sur le buffet, deux bols et un saladier cassés. Tire-Bouchon est tellement sale que sa mère a du mal à le reconnaître.

There are many expressions about apples. You might have heard that "an apple a day keeps the doctor away," or if you care about someone a lot, you might call them "the apple of my eye." Here are a few more apple expressions!

If you're surprised that something has happened, or have just beaten someone at something and want to gloat, you can say, "How do you like them apples?" This expression, which uses incorrect grammar, was made popular by the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, but it's been used for over 100 years.

So if the best tennis player in your school has been laughing at your tennis skills, but you beat them in a match, you might say, "How do you like them apples?"

If you want a second chance at something, you could ask for a "second bite of the apple," or a "second bite of the cherry."

So if the top tennis player wants another chance to beat you, you can say, "Okay, I'll give you a second bite of the apple. Let's play again tomorrow."

When someone or something destroys a plan, or makes something difficult, you can say they have "upset the apple cart." This expression has been around since the 18th century, and probably comes from an older Roman expression, "upset the cart," which had the same meaning.

So if it rains the next day, you might say, "Oh no! We were going to play tennis today, but this rain has upset the apple cart!"

我们来看看道德经的第二章。

天下皆知美之为美，斯恶已；皆知善之为善，斯不善矣。有无相生，难易相成，长短相形，高下相盈，音声相和，前后相随。是以圣人处无为之事，行不言之教。万物作，焉而弗辞，生而弗有，为而弗恃，功成而弗居。夫唯弗居，是以不去。

根据老子的思想，万物都是相对的。比如美和丑，善和恶，长和短，有和无。他们互相对立，也互相依赖。If the beauty is everywhere, no one will see it as beautiful anymore. So we shouldn’t push too hard on the things we cannot control. For example, if all the girls do the plastic surgery to become a standard beauty, there would be no one considered beautiful, because everyone is the same. Diversity is beautiful. 所以，老子说，我们要随万物生长而不去限制和控制，这样的无为，也就是不去做一些事，符合道。放下了强烈的我执，有时候选择不去做一些事，比去做还要困难。但是很多情况下，无为，不去做，才是智慧。
