Someone, Something, Somewhere: Aarenkilum, Enthenkilum, Evideyenkilum | Spoken Malayalam #042
Açıklama
English has a whole family of words: someone, anyone, no one, something, nothing, somewhere, nowhere. English speakers try to translate each one directly, so "nobody came" becomes "aarum alla vannu", which makes no sense. Malayalam has a neat trick instead.
In this episode:
• Question words you already know
• Add -enkilum for some and any
• Add -um plus a negative for no one and nothing
• Roughly: around ten, two or three
• An invented scene: the lost keys
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
