One Minute Speaking Challenge: Conflict at work

Some useful idioms that you can incorporate in your story are:

この前UNIQLOにいって、「ダブルフェイスシャツジャケット」を買ったの。あれすごいかるいし、かわいいし、かたちもいいしほんとおすすめだよ。 なんか、デザイナーのジルサンダーとUNIQLOがコラボレーションして「+J」っていうの作ったらしんだけど、その中のひとつが「ダブルフェイスシャツジャケット」なんだよね。 

I went to UNIQLO the other day and bought a "Double-Faced Shirt Jacket". It's very light, cute, and has a nice shape. The designer Jil Sander and UNIQLO have collaborated to create a brand called "+J". One of the items is the "Double Face Shirt Jacket.

私、全然知らなかったんだけど、10年以上前にジルサンダーとUNIQLOコラボしていたらしいの。 で、2020年秋にまたコラボレーションが突然復活したみたいなんだけど、服のうばい合いがエグくてびっくりしちゃった！ 2020年ってもうコロナがはやってたのにー、店の中に人がたくさんいる写真がSNSにアップされたり、ニュースになったりしたんだよね。でもたぶん、今回の2021年冬のコレクションがジル・サンダーとの最後のコラボレーションらしいよ。 

 I heard that Jil Sander and UNIQLO collaborated over 10 years ago, but I didn't know about it. The collaboration was suddenly revived again in the fall of 2020, but it was a battle. Even though the corona was not over, pictures of many people in the store were posted on social media and made the news. The Winter 2021 collection was probably the last collaboration between Jil Sander and UNIQLO.

私が買ったジャケットなんだけど、これは2021年冬のコレクションのもので、まだお店にのこってたんだよね。で、もともと14900円だったのがセールしてて、12900円からの7990円からの5990円からの4990円になってて、だから、10,000円引きで買うことができたのー！めっちゃ安くない！？

The jacket I bought this time was from the Winter 2021 collection, and it was still in the store. The price was 14,900 yen → 12,900 yen → 7,990 yen → 5,990 yen → 4,990 yen! I was able to buy it with a discount of 10,000 yen. Isn't it so cheap?!

海外のUNIQLOはちょっとわかんないんだけど、日本のUNIQLOって、全部じゃないけど金土日は結構安くなるからほんと、おすすめ！もし、日本に来た時にUNIQLOに行くんだったら、絶対金土日に行ったほうがいいよ！ 

I don't know about other countries, but in Japan, UNIQLO offers discounted prices on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for some items, but not all. If you are going to go to UNIQLO when you come to Japan, it is better to go on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

みなさん、明（あ）けましておめでとうございます。年末年始（ねんまつねんし the New Year’s holiday）は、どうでしたか。うちは毎年、大みそか（おおみそか 12月31日）から元日（がんじつ 1月1日）にかけて、お寺（てら）で鐘（かね  bell )をついてから、神社（じんじゃ）へ行くことにしています。どっちも近（ちか）いんですよ。30分ぐらいで行ってこれます。今年はひさしぶりに、人が多かったですね。お寺でマイナスをゼロにした後、すぐ神社へ行ってプラスをもらう、なんていいアイデアでしょう？神社で「おみくじ fortune telling」ひいてきました。私の今年の運勢（うんせい fortune）、こっそり secretly 教えちゃいます！
