Açıklama
give (outward): from the speaker (or someone) to another person. Focus on the giver.
give (toward me): someone gives to me or someone in my in-group.
⚠️ Important:
In English, “give” covers both directions, but Japanese distinguishes them. Use くれる only when the receiver is me or someone in my in-group. The sentence is built from the receiver’s perspective — the gift is coming toward me.
receive/get: focus on the receiver.
In short: あげる = giving outward, くれる = giving to me, もらう = receiving.
