How to grow beans Put some soil in small plant pots. Put a few seeds in each pot. Cover them with a layer of soil. Water them, and wait until some leaves start to grow. When they are large enough, plant them in rows in the ground. If possible, plant them on the edge of a path where they are easier to look after. Support the growing plants with sticks. Pick the beans when they're ready to eat.
