في زنزانةٍ صغيرة،
خلف بابٍ حديديّ ثقيل،
كان يجلس رجلٌ
ومعه ورقةٌ وقلم.

لم يكن يكتب كثيرًا،
لكنه في تلك الليلة
بدأ يكتب رسالة.

لم تكن رسالة شكوى…
ولا رسالة غضب.

كانت رسالة
إلى أمه.

كتب:

"أمي…
لا أعرف إن كانت هذه الرسالة ستصل،
لكنني أردت أن أكتب."

توقف قليلًا…

ثم أكمل:

"أنا بخير…
فلا تقلقي."

كان يعلم أن هذه الجملة
ليست دقيقة تمامًا،
لكن الأمهات
يحتجن أن يسمعنها.

كتب عن أيام الطفولة،
عن البيت القديم،
عن رائحة الخبز في الصباح.

ثم كتب:

"أشتاق لصوتك
عندما تنادينني باسمي."

سقطت نقطة حبر
على الورقة.

لم تكن حبرًا فقط.

كانت دمعة.

عندما انتهى،
طوى الرسالة بعناية.

وسلّمها للحارس.

وقال بهدوء:

"من فضلك…
أرسلها."

أخذ الحارس الرسالة.

لكنها…

لم تصل.

ضاعت بين الأوراق،
أو ربما نُسيت
في درجٍ قديم.

وفي مكانٍ آخر،
كانت أمٌ عجوز
تنظر كل يوم
إلى باب بيتها.

تنتظر…

رسالة.
