Waar ben je geplant?
In de natuur is de plaats waar je geplant bent erg belangrijk. 
Het bepaalt wanneer je zonlicht zult ontvangen en voor hoeveel uur. Het bepaalt ook hoeveel beschutting je van de elementen zoals de wind en de regen hebt. Je plek bepaalt ook hoeveel ruimte je hebt om te groeien en of jouw type plant zijn volledige potentie kan bereiken. 

In het leven is het daarom belangrijk dat we uitzoeken waar we zijn geplant en wat voor soort plant wij zijn. Zo zal het makkelijker voor je worden om jouw eigen verwachtingen te managen en rekening te houden met je eigen specifieke behoeftes. 

Where are you planted?
In nature the place where you are planted is very important.
It determines when you will receive sunlight and for how many hours. It also determines how much shelter you have from the elements like the wind and the rain. Your spot also determines how much room you have to grow and whether your type of plant can reach its full potential.

In life it is therefore very important that you find out where you are planted and what kind of plant you are. This way it will be easier to manage your expectations and cater to your own specific needs.

JOYCE: Should we take a taxi or a bus to the mall?
BILL: Let’s take a bus. It’s impossible to get a taxi during 
rush hour.
JOYCE: Isn’t that a bus stop over there?
BILL: Yes ... Oh! There’s a bus now. We’ll have to run to 
catch it.
JOYCE: Oh, no! We just missed it.
BILL: No problem. There’ll be another one in 10 minutes.


LANGUAGE NOTES
• Should we … or …? Is a way of asking “Which is better?” “Should” is used to ask 
for an opinion. Note that we do not say “Will” here.
• Take a taxi or a bus? The word “or” signals a choice here. Notice the rising 
intonation on taxi (the first choice) and falling intonation on bus (the second choice).
• Let’s (Let us) means “I think we should do this.”
• Rush hour is the time of day when most people are going to or from work. In most 
American cities, rush hour is from about 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. and from about 4:30 to 
6:30 p.m. Notice that “rush hour” is a compound noun, with the main stress on the 
first word.
• Isn’t that This is a negative question. The speaker expects an affirmative answer. It 
is used to check information.
• Bus stop is a compound noun, with the main stress on the first word.
• Oh! is an exclamation used to express alarm or surprise.
• Oh, no! is an expression used to express disappointment.
• We just missed it here means “We arrived a moment too late to get the bus.” 
Notice the emphasis on “just” to show the very recent past.
• No problem here means “It doesn’t matter.

En el episodio de esta semana comento algunos verbos que siempre van seguidos de la misma preposición. 

Muchos estudiantes encuentran las preposiciones, o palabras pequeñas, como muchos se refieren a ellas muy díficiles, ¡y lo entiendo! Las preposiciones tienen reglas diferentes en cada idioma y muchas veces no tienen un equivalente exacto que funcione en todas las ocasiones. Por eso espero que este episodio os ayude, ya que los verbos que voy a mencionar hoy siempre usan  la misma preposición. Por lo tanto, mi objetivo es que cuando en el futuro vayáis a usar estros verbos no dudéis, no os tengais que parar a pensar qué preposición usar, os venga directamente a la cabeza.
