今日は辞書（じしょ）に書いていない意味「チャレンジで」を
あえて！いっしょに勉強しましょう！



【あえて】〈副詞(ふくし)〉
意味：自分の考え・自分の考えたこと（理由・目的・ねらい）があって

こんな風に使います･･･
❶自分の考えがあって
例「君のために　言いにくいことを　あえて言おう」
意味：言いにくいことは言いたくない。でも、自分の考えがあって（⇒君のために）言おう。

❷チャレンジで（変だと思われるかもしれないけど）：辞書（じしょ）には書いていない使い方。とても楽しい表現（ひょうげん）！

★練習１★「（　　　）ために　あえて～」を使って言ってみましょう。
①〈仕事の話をしている〉
A：課長のパワハラすごいんでしょ？大丈夫？
B：大丈夫、大丈夫。【変だと思われるかもしれないけど、私が考えた理由があって】（　　　　）ために怒られているんだよ。

②〈宝くじの話をしている〉
A：オンラインでも宝くじって買えるんじゃなかった？２時間も並んで買う必要ある？
B：まあ、そうなんだけど。【変だと思われるかもしれないけど、私が考えた理由があって】（　　　　）ために並んでいるんだよ。

目的「～ために」以外でも、理由を言ってから「あえて」を使うのもいい！
③〈Bさん（日本語を勉強している人）が、むずかしい日本語の本を読んでいる〉
A：そんなにむずかしい本を読んでいるんですか。日本語の小説なら、もっとかんたんに読める本があるんじゃないですか。
B：（　　　　　　）ので（私が考えた理由があって）、【変だと思われるかもしれないけど】、この本を選（えら）びました。



★練習２★　どれを選（えら）ぶか悩（なや）んでいる友だちが何かを言います。その友だちに冗談（じょうだん）の「チャレンジ」をすすめましょう。
①〈スーパーで買い物をしています〉
A：え～っと･･･、どっちがおいしいのかなぁ。ねぇ、どっちのパンにしようか？
B：じゃあ、ここは【　チャレンジで　】小麦粉（こむぎこ）から作るのはどう？

②〈ハンバーガー屋で〉
A：ダブルチーズバーガーかフィッシュバーガーか、どっちにしようかな。
B：じゃあ、ここは【　チャレンジ　】でダブルチーズフィッシュバーガーだね！
A：そんなのメニューにない！

今天的话题是，你喜欢住在大城市，还是小城市呢？在我看来，它们。大城市有很多精彩的活动，也非常的包容。包容的意思就是，大城市能理解各种各样的人。相对来说，小城市就没有那么包容。因为小城市甚至乡村居住的人们见识比较少。而大城市的人们见多识广，如果你有比较小众的爱好，大城市的人见怪不怪，小城市的人可能会对你另眼相看呢。

大城市的压力也比较大。相比小城市，人们更难在大城市生存，因为生活水平高，消费也贵。在中国的大城市比如北京、上海和广州，消费可以非常的高，而收入却有高有低。为了生存，人们必须有很强的赚钱能力。小城市就比较安逸了，消费不高，生活节奏不快，人也随和。

Hi everyone, and welcome back to Everyday English. Today’s episode is about personality. Are you more of an extrovert or an introvert? Or maybe you’re somewhere in between? Let’s find out!
Extroverts love socializing, meeting new people, and feel energized in busy environments. They enjoy group activities, thrive in social situations, and often express their thoughts openly. If you love parties, speaking in front of a crowd, and you make new friends easily, you might be an extrovert!
Introverts, on the other hand, prefer quiet time, deep conversations, and need space to recharge after socializing. They often enjoy reading, writing, or creative hobbies alone. If you feel drained after large social events and enjoy spending time in peaceful settings, you might be an introvert.
But here’s a fun fact—many people aren’t fully one or the other! Ambiverts have a mix of both traits. They can enjoy social events but also need alone time to recharge. If you like going out sometimes but also love staying home, you might be an ambivert! 
I think I’m more of an introvert—I love spending time in my garden and with my cats. What about you? Do you relate more to introverts or extroverts? Or are you somewhere in between?

RALPH: Well done, please.

意味は、おとこ、男性、働く人、とかそんな感じです。

例えば、

・夫婦ーふうふ　結婚した男性と女性

・丈夫ーじょうぶ　しっかりしている、頑丈

・漁夫ーぎょふ　漁業をする人、漁師

・農夫ーのうふ　農耕をする人

・工夫ーこうふ　工事をする人

こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！

・夫婦になって6年になります。

・彼は体が丈夫です。

・漁夫の利とは、人と人が争っている時に他の第三者が利益をえることです。

　漁夫の利の話は、こんな話です。ハマグリが口を開けているとシギ(鳥)が来てハマグリに食いつきました。ハマグリは口を閉じてシギのくちばしをはさみました。そうやって争っているうちに漁夫があらわれ、ハマグリとシギ両方を捕まえました、という話です。
