こんにちは～！マルハバ！サウジの日本語の先生、佳子です。このポッドキャストでは、日本やサウジアラビアのこと、私の日常などについて、ゆるく日本語でお話ししています。トランスクリプトとクイズは、ぜひ概要欄をチェックしてくださいね！
みなさんー！お元気ですかー？今日は、私がサウジでどのように食品や日用品を買っているかについてお話しします。そして次回は、日本に住んでいたときの買い物や、日本とサウジのスーパーの違いについてお話しします。
まずは、今サウジでどのように買い物をしているか話しますね。平日の朝、息子を車で学校に送ったあと、週に2回ほど学校や家の近くのスーパーで買い物をします。よく買うものは、野菜やフルーツ、パン、お肉、ヨーグルト、冷凍食品、水です。洗剤やトイレットペーパー、シャンプーなどの日用品、ボディークリームやメイク落としなどのスキンケア・美容系は、月初のAmazonセールでまとめ買いすることが多いです。
でも、2月から私の買い物スタイルに大きな変化がありました。エピソード52で少しお話ししましたが、最近サウジでは高速デリバリー、つまりネットスーパーがとても便利になりました。2月ごろから、AmazonやNoon、大手スーパーの高速デリバリーサービスを利用することが増えました。3月からは、主なフードデリバリーアプリでもネットスーパーが利用できるようになって、お得なクーポンもたくさん出ていました。
高速デリバリーを利用する場合、大手スーパーでは30分から1時間以内に届いて、他のサイトではだいたい15分くらいで来ます。しかも、ほとんどのサイトで送料無料になる最低購入価格が50sar、日本円だと約2,000円くらいなので、気軽に注文できます。
特にAmazon Nowのクーポンがすごくて、50sarで10sarオフ、100sarで20sarオフなど、お得なキャンペーンがここ3週間以上ずっと続いていて、さらに、ここ1週間はマスターカードの20％オフのクレジットカードオファーも併用できて、かなりお得でした。
もちろん、Amazon Nowやフードデリバリーアプリのネットスーパーは、日本のコンビニみたいに普通のスーパーより値段が高いものも多いです。でも、牛乳やヨーグルトなど、普通のスーパーでもあまり割引がない商品は、同じ値段で売られていることがあります。しかも、クーポンを使わなくても普通のスーパーより安いことがあります。
私はここ3週間でAmazon Nowを7回利用しました。お米や韓国ラーメン、ピーナッツバター、アイスクリーム、洗剤、歯磨き粉など、いろいろ買いました。大手スーパーのLuluもお得なクーポンが出ていたので、3月の春休み中はかなりお世話になりました。実は、大手スーパーでは数か月に1回ほど、オンライン限定のクレジットカードオファーが出ることがあります。私たちが持っているクレジットカードでは、15％オフになることが多いです。ただ、こちらは最低購入価格が200SAR以上の場合が多いので、2か月に1回くらい利用しています。春休み中は特にあまり外出しなかったので、「スーパーのためだけに外出したくないな～」というときによく注文していました。ということで、去年から少しずつネット注文が増え、特に今年の2月からは、普通のスーパーに行く回数が、がくんと減りました。
まあ、ネットスーパーはかなり便利なのですが、野菜やフルーツは当たり外れがあるので、あまり買わないようにしています。サウジの普通のスーパーのいいところは、ほとんどの野菜やフルーツ、魚がキロ価格なことです。多くの日本のスーパーでは、「1個100円」「1袋500円」など、1個あたり・1袋あたり・1匹あたりで売られていることが多いですね。なので、日本では「どれが一番お得かな？」と考えることが多かったです。質と量の両方を考えて選ぶので、少し時間がかかります。でもサウジでは、1個だけ買うこともできますし、質だけ見ればいいので、わかりやすくて楽です。
今日は日本のカレーを作る予定なので、今朝じゃがいもや玉ねぎなどの野菜を買ってきました。でも、スーパーにいる間にAmazon Nowのページを見ていたら、間違って注文してしまいました。しかも高速デリバリーなので、注文後にキャンセルできず、ドライバーさんが10分で来てしまいました。なんとかアパートの下でドライバーさんに会えて、キャンセルできました。さすがAmazon。返金手続きも早い！
