Hi! Could you check the following sentence? Is “one….one only” a fixed phrase? What about “one … only one”. I actually think that it should be “ONE…. ONLY ONE” in the instance but I’m not sure.🙏🙏🙏 “Bernard Shaw’s plays have one passion and one only —— indignation”

It’s correct as written, I think it sounds better having the ‘one’ first north times. You could write is as ‘only one’.

It’s correct. “One and only one” is clearer. You cannot say “one only one”. However you could with adequate punctuation: “one - only one - passion”.
