It was stormy today, but the pelting rain didn’t stop (us going to) guitar class. MeeMaw even came along. The weather didn’t slow her down, and she’s doing great after her treatment. Everything’s happening back-to-back. Tomorrow’s my singing exam, and the very next day is my uncle’s birthday party. He’s got me lined up to perform for a bunch of his coworkers. Most of them I know. Here’s the thing: they know I speak English, and every single time, they ask me to "say something" or perform like I’m some kind of party trick. They wouldn’t even notice if I cursed at them! It just feels off. This time? I’m just sticking to singing.
