Hi everyone!
Is there any difference between "turn up" and "came along"
So, I just read the next two sentences in a book :
1. "And that was how things stood until our little movement came along"
2. I must go in, because by the time a moment like that comes along...
Could I use -turn up- instead of -come along-?

"turn up" means an abrupt ('all of a sudden') appearance. E.g.: He turned up at my house at 11pm. It was unexpected.
"came along" refers to a much more pleasant 'turn up' or if you're with walking/travelling with someone, they come along with you. E.g.: My prince charming came along.
Turn up is a bit informal so use comes along!
