Perseverance is an essential virtue and is one of the dominant factors that determines whether we will succeed. Take Novak Djokovic as an exomple, a great tennis player who has had a glorious and long-lasting career. One of the reasons why he is so successful is that he adheres to an extremely strict diet and perseveres in enhancing his tennis skills, Unfortunately, many people, especially the younger generation, tend to give up when facing challenges beyond their abilities. This is partly because many of them are spoiled by their parents and get what they desire without any effort. Accordingly, measures must be taken to help children to become more persevering. To equip kids with persistence, parents should educate them in simple issues, like encouraging them to concentrate on reading for 2 hours consecutively, cultivating a habit of daily exercise and not giving up when they meet difficulties in homework. In this way children will learn to keep going when things get tough.
