Hi John!
I'm very happy to hear from you. It's been so long since we've talked. How are you doing?
I know I haven't written for a while, but it was because of my work. I've been very busy developing a new application. It's great that you've get a job.
You remember I told you I was going to visit you. The next week I have holidays and I was thinking to go to your city. Maybe we can met someday to talk. There are a lot of things I want to tell you and I prefer to do it personally.
I arrive Tuesday at 7 am. Can you pick at me at the airport?
All the best,
Carmen

Hi John! I'm very happy to hear from you. It's been so long since we've talked*.
How are you doing? I know I haven't written for a while, but it was because of
my work. I've been very busy developing a new application. It's great that
you've got a job. Do you remember I told you** I was going to visit you? Next
week I have holidays and I was thinking of coming to your city. Maybe we can meet
up and*** talk. There are a lot of things I want to tell you and I prefer to do
it personally. I arrive on Tuesday at 7 am. Can you pick at me at the airport? All
the best, Carmen
* It might be better to use ”we’ve spoken” or “we last spoke”, because you already use “talk” later in the text.
** It might be better to use “Do you remember I said I was...” to avoid repetition of “you” in the same sentence.
*** I removed “someday” because if you want him to pick you up when you arrive, then you already know which day you want to meet. Also, “someday” suggests a more distant future than next week! “meet up at some point” might work better. But again, in this instance you already know which day.
Hope that helps 🙂. Very good overall!
