When Crimea was Ukrainian, there was a festival called Kazantip. It was an international music festival with a lot of famous musicians, electronic mostly. The most interesting thing about it was its location - it was a little USSR-style village on the Black Sea shore. I’m not saying you couldn’t get a modern apartment there, no, but in fact there were a lot of buildings built in then middle of the previous century, with old men and women as hosts. So the contrast between visitors to the festival and locals was huge. It was like the future and past faced each other. Unfortunately, the festival is closed now.
