Today, I watched my TOEIC exam score. My score was 470. My listening score was higher than my reading score. I wanted to get 500, so I felt very disappointed to effort doesn’t always pay off. I was so sad. But I will take the TOEIC exam again. I will study hard to reach my goal next time.

470 is not bad at all. What mattes most is that you are keeping trying. Never let this discourage you. Also keep in mind the following phrase : Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. （直訳：「完璧を良いことの敵にしてはいけない」→「完璧を求めることによって良いことをする意欲を失ってはいけない」）
