I am thankful for the opportunities I have everyday. I am thankful for a friend who is supportive of me. I am thankful for food, for my mom and for having enough money. I'm thankful for the clothes that I own, thankful for my home that I live in. I'm thankful for the books that I have. I'm thankful for everything in life.

You can say "I am thankful for ..." to express your feeling of appreciation and gratitude for things or people. You would only say "Thank you" if you are speaking to someone and thanking him/her for what he/she has given or provided for you. 😊
