Chinese and Western Perspectives on Marriage(Part Ⅱ)
Love forever
Speaking of love, the first thing appearing in our mind maybe a young couple smiles at each other in the church on their wedding day, with great happiness. To live happily together with one's lover is everyone's dream, either in China or in the U.S. or elsewhere in the world. However, not every love story has a cheerful result. In the movie, Dragonfly, the leading role named Joe lost his beloved wife in an accident, and after her death, he can't stop missing her and do everything to find the truth of her death under her clues. He finds it in the end, and without hesitation, he makes a choice that he thinks can lead him closer to his wife. We are all easily touched by love stories, because we ourselves live in a world of love. For theChinese, to be always honest and consistent to the lover is a concept widely beholded. Many beautiful and heartbreaking stories are remembered by the later generations, such as The Butterfly Lovers. This kind of love concept is one of the many virtues the Chinese share with other people world around.
