There are differences between British and American English, both in speaking and in writing. To be honest I prefer British accents because I find them easier to understand and pronounce. Americans always talk fast and there are alot of abbreviations that I find too hard to follow. Also I think if you can master a British accent then it will also be easier to understand American accents.

I would say: There are some differences between the Britsh and the USA accents whether speaking whether writting. To be honest I rather use the Britsh one because I think it's easier to listen to and (pronounce?). The USA speakers speak fast and link words all the time and, because of this, it is harder to follow what they say. Also, i think that if someone learnt the Britsh accent it would be easier for him to get what USA people say.

Is it what u meant, guy?
