Great apps for learn Chinese .

Hello everyone , I would like to recommend some applications for learn Chinese and I have been using for years. Hope this apps will helpful. Best of luck for your studies .

1) Pleco Chinese dictionary 

one of the most famous Chinese dictionaries. If you can write Chinese characters, type pinyin or you can send voice to translate the meaning into English. Also can use English to find Chinese meaning. It also works in offline. 

2) Handian 汉典 

Another Chinese online dictionary.but compare to pleco dictionary , you can input Chinese pinyin to search word but can't input English words. You can learn how to write Chinese character and can learn thehistory of Chinese character in specific word you are searching.

3) 中文EFL.                                                                       This is also a great app which includes basic 6000 Chinese words we commonly use.it is both in Chinese and english and you can hear the correct pronunciation of each Chinese word. 

4) FluentU 

this is a good app/ website for Chinese learners. You can register for free and take their lessons according to your Chinese level. Also they have a Chinese learner blog and you can read and know more about language learning tips.

5) youku 优酷

It is the Chinese version of YouTube. You can search for Chinese dramas, movies and any other Chinese videos. It is a good way to improve listening and spoken Chinese.

+1 for Pleco; also the flashcards are great, as is everything else; definitely the most important app.

Decipher is nice for learning to read. It has ' news' stories and you can press words to get pinyin and/or meanings. Paid version is kind of expensive though.

HelloChinese and ChineseSkill are kind of nice if you like Duolingo style.

WeChat is the best one because that's where all the Chinese people are :-)

One more for those who use Firefox: there's a addon called Mandarin Popup that shows pinyin and translation for any Chinese characters you mouse over.

I'd like to change my recommendation from Decipher to 'Du Chinese' (same idea, different app).

A few bugs in Decipher, about which I never got any response, inspired me to read this article https://www.alllanguageresources.com/du-chinese-vs-tcb-vs-decipher/. While all three are adequate, I like Du Chinese best.

I've also switched my browser extension to Zhongwen after Firefox Quantum was introduced.
