Il modo di dire 'non c'è piu trippa per gatti' comme si traducce in inglese?
"There is not anymore tripe for cats?"
O "the cats have no more tripe"?
Non c'è trippa per gatti means that there is no longer any chance to gain or obtain something.
The closest English equivalent could be:
"there's no cheese down that tunnel"
"There isn't a snowball's chance in hell"
"This pond is all fished out"
Literally that would be
there is no more tripe for cats
But I think it is probably an Italian proverb, and has a better translation in English
When do you use the phrase? Is it used to describe a problem that is suddenly bigger than before?
