Hi there!
My name is Gretha and I live in Belgium. I am desperately looking for a native speaker of Kurmancî Kurdish and/or Turkish to practice with! I loooove learning new languages, and in my opinion you can only learn languages well by practicing a lot with native speakers. I also loooove meeting new people from different cultures, making new friends and traveling, so that's another reason why I like learning languages so much. One of my biggest dreams is to learn to speak Kurmancî Kurdish fluently, although it isn't easy since I haven't been able to find good Kurmancî classes in my home town yet. I only have a very basic knowledge of Kurmancî Kurdish (I know a few sentences), but I have lots of Kurmancî Kurdish books. I hope that I can improve my knowledge a lot by practicing with a native speaker online! My wish for 2019 is to find a good language partner to exchange with via Italki. We could read together small children's stories in Kurmancî for exemple and in exchange I could help with Dutch (my mother tongue)... I hope to hear from you soon and I am really looking forward to making new friends via Italki! If you would like to know more about me: I love learning languages (I speak Dutch, English, French, Arabic, Spanish and some Turkish and a little bit of Kurmancî). I also like traveling, movies from all over the world (in different languages), dancing (I'm not a good dancer, but I like trying dances from all over the world, for example Kurdish, Greek, Turkish, Spanish, Latin American... dances), I like cooking from time to time (especially trying new dishes from all over the world. My favourite kitchen is the Middle-Eastern kitchen). I love horse-riding (especially when I can make a trip in a location with a beautiful nature), I like old history and culture, especially from the Middle East and sooo many more things...
I also study Turkish in evening classes (already for several years now), and I also would like to find a language partner to practice my Turkish with, since I see that I still cannot speak that fluently yet. I think I need to practice more to get better.
