An eight-year old girl in Nogales, Mexico wrote a Christmas list of presents she wanted. She wanted to sent it to Santa Claus. She attached it to a balloon. The balloon came down in the United States, in Arizona. A man found it. He contacted a radio station in Nogales. The radio station was able to find the girl. The man bought most of the presents the girl had asked for (the Enchantimals she wanted were sold out). They found out that the girl had a four-year-old sister and they bought a few presents for her, too. Then they drove to Nogales. They met the girls and their family at the radio station and gave them the presents.
The story has a very cute picture of the girls.
Also there was the viral video of the girl translating ASL for her father at a rock concert. He can hear a little and likes the band, so they went to the concert together. SO sweet! Sorry, the link is to TeenVogue, I don't remember where I saw it first, but this will make you tear up for real. I was having a bad day and read the news story about the kid with the balloon wish and this story and it improved my day a great deal. Watch the video, it's so sweet.
