When you don’t feel anxious about understanding what the other person is going to say.
When you’re hearing the TV in the background and suddenly you understand what they’re speaking about without making any effort.
When you can understand jokes in that language.
When you’re speaking in that language and for a moment you don’t know anymore if you’re speaking in that language or in your mother tongue.
