True guys lose? Do you still remember the singers, whose songs played once in the radios? You‘re right, it was Louis Armstrong, Johny Cash, Druppi, Tom Jones, Karol Duchoň, Vladimir Vysockiy... All powerful and unmistakable male voices. True guys. Today, in many cases, you don‘t know to determine what song sings the man and what the woman. What do you think about that? True guys lose?

You're just talking about the style of one era. Styles keep changing.

Listen to how male singers sounded in the 1930s. For example, "Ukulele Ike," (Cliff Edwards) was fabulously successful. Listen to how he sings "Paper Moon," 1933.

Or Rudy Vallee:

I completely agree with you Phil.

Stasa: Johnny cash was a great singer, even when he went a little off-key. Unlike today’s stars and their computer enhanced pitch-correction or whatever it’s called.

I think that there are a lot of differences, and that is fine, but the one I really dislike is lyrics. Lyrics nowadays don't even make sense sometimes. Sometimes the vocabulary is so poor that it hurts my ears. Literally 2 phrases going on again and again... What happened to the real guys as you call them? Johnny Cashs "Hurt" is one of my favorite songs ever, you can feel every emotion he is singing about! You can cry with it! What song would awake your emotions nowadays? What would be the song you dedicate to someone?
