Nothing is free in this world. You will end up paying one way or another.

One way is: you pay for lessons with a teacher who has great reviews from past students and a high lessons-to-student ratio.

Another way is: you pay with your time, by spending hours and hours searching for that ideal language partner. Some guys will want a girlfriend. Some girls will talk to you once and then disappear. Some people will have terrible Russian and you will have to hold their hand basically through the Russian part of the English / Russian language exchange. And so forth.

So, ultimately, are these really so different? Either you pay with your time or you pay money.
