As Arundhati Roy said " the bauxite, which is a pours material has no use for these people outside the mountain, it would only be of benefit to the government, the elite who run the economy and the MNC. But inside the mountain, this porous bauxite helps with the seepage of terrestrial rainwater into the Underground water table keeping it constantly topped up, which is important for these people for their survival, for it being one of the most arid regions of the country.

No matter how many class and divisions we have today, tomorrow there will be only 2, the haves and the have-nots, the elite and the underprivileged .

I think at the turn of this century, Humanity will be in its defining moment. I would love to see how it affects the different cultures. In countries such as asian ones where people ave a general attitude that society is society is something one should comply with and the nail hat sticks out should be hammered hard. In countries marred by religion how will the societies there react… What will the world of islam do ? … What will be Vatican's move … ? What will happen in africa where the core os humanity lies ? I think to me Africans are the least deluded people on the planet in reality. They can to evangelism or anything they want, at the end of the day they know what humanity is all about ? I would love to see how Latin america does… After their years of struggle and turmoil how will they react to all this ?

We have an miserable yet exciting century ahead of us… :)

I will be a combination of Elysium and Japanese anime Ergoproxy...

Though not in floating cities sort of way, we won't be getting there in a 100 years.. lolz...

But we will have Elitist utopias guarded and protected from the mob of underprivileged… i believe the boundaries of countries will not even matter here, in terms of human migrations… but may still be maintained by the elite to command natural resources, etc.

We can in our everyday lives keep pretending as if we are moral, civilised and each and every human life matters , but the host truth that we all know deep down in it isn't. It all matters to a superficial level as long as its within our "monkeysphere" which frankly isn't that big, no matter how much you pretend.

The rebellion of the underprivileged has already begun in many parts of the world. No matter how much the governments try to curb these things, no government is powerful enough to do so. in fact it has already been for quite sometime in many places of the world.

West is so mesmerised by the film "Avatar" but it india we have been seeing it for decades in the struggle of Naxalites people. Indigenous tribal people siting on mountains of bauxite, the indian government which has done noting for decades for these people, now wants them gone form there so that he MNC companies can get in and start mining the bauxite. The government's deals with the Multi National Co-operations has already gone through and are waiting for these people to be evicted, but the indigenous ave taken up armed struggle. THey live in the forest in little villages, have their own meagre tax system to but build water catchments and ponds for their survival.

I think it would be too advanced, the people will have super HD eyes, hover cars/boards, technology everywhere. Other than that, hotels in space or moon or mars! Not to mention work at home :D just conference call and holograms and even send your work through super fast internet! I'm sure by that time you can upload things and print it out on 3D printers. Also, water shortage :(
