Look more fit, country demanding too many from us, they want us to war their battle, feeding us to the bullets, paying road taxes, give respect to their flags,while they give us nothing in return but obligatory to pay taxes, corruption, expensive medical treatment, expensive school, and lack of employment facility. In this quotation, we ask them to show us what they already done or do for us, before they start demanding and enforcing any obligation toward us.
This look more fair.

You say "Only the citizen can help the country", yeah, I used to scream to make them give what they take from us, and fulfill their promise. But alas, not anymore. If we really care for the poor, then just give charity, help the poor, be decent in our consumption and give other who more needed then us.
If an employee don't work or done they job desk, they don't deserve to be paid. A cleaning sevice who don't clean the office, they don't deserve they salary. Salary is a results of works. And A goverment who not doing their job, they don't deserve our tax.
So instead of giving it to the goverment, why don't just directly giving it to the poor and those who in need? to the orphan? That is more efficient. if peoples giving it to the goverment, they might be not spend it for peoples, but they spend it to buy bullets, nuclear head, or creating some nasty virus to create biochemical weapon.
Mary, glad to see you here. agree with you 100 percent, the goverment speak for the cooperation and they work and employee by the Banker, TNC and MNC. Our president is only a manager of this big global tyranical system.

umm... You're a risk-taker saying something "against" this mythical Kennedy's sentence* ;) *I'd call it "slogan" :P
I can understand that, for many people, this is a legendary sentence (I don't say otherwise) and Kennedy was a good president and blah blah blah... But for me, he was another president who had dealings with the Mafia (hello Berlusconi)
"Don't ask what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country"... I have something pretty clear reading this sentence again. And it's that we can't expect anything from the governments, because they only look for filling its pockets (just take a look at this crisis time) and only citizens can help a country; only us can help ourselves.
And as Radiohead said: "Bring down the government. They dont speak for us" ;)
